There are formal and informal ways to call Epiphany your
home. The
least formal is to worship with us on Sunday morning, meet other
members and get involved in the recreational, educational, and service
activities
of the parish. We love having guests join us for these events,
and you will find yourself warmly welcomed.
When You’re Ready to Make a
More
Formal Commitment
» If you are a new Christian,
the
first step to membership in the church is
baptism. This is a common Christian sacrament of rebirth and initiation
into the community of followers of Christ Jesus.
» If you are coming from a
different congregation, you may request
a letter of transfer from your old parish.
If you want to formalize your membership, talk to any
member
of the church, or to the priest.
Expectations of Members
» You will seek a deeper knowledge of God by participating in
Bible Study and other spiritual development.
» You will participate in the prayers of the community, including
personal and/or family prayer.
» You will get to know the other members of the congregation,
encouraging and supporting each other.
» You will attend Sunday Worship on a regular basis.
» You will give financially to the ministry mission of the parish.
» You will develop and use the unique gifts that God has given you to
bless the world.
» You will proclaim, by word and example, the love of God
in Jesus Christ.
