Habitat For Humanity
Our parish supported the recently completed Habitat build in Alice TX.  We started in February, and the House Blessing was held April 30th.  The family was so excited to move into their new home!  The team did an awesome job and looks forward to the next build.  We'll keep you posted on the next project.

Kairos Prison Ministry
Many volunteers from the Diocese of West Texas participate in the Kairos Prison Ministry.  Sandy and Joe Dorsett from Epiphany have been on many Kairos teams since they first said “Yes” in 1998.  They have volunteered on teams serving five different prisons and are currently helping out in Edinburg.  Even if going into a prison is not to your liking, you can help in other ways.  First and foremost, please pray for the souls who come to know Christ on the weekend.  Also, you can bake a few dozen cookies, or help with a cash donation.  It takes around $11,000 to put on a weekend, so sponsors are needed and your gift is tax deductible.  The next scheduled weekend is July 22-24, 2010.  Please call Sandy for more information at 361-720-8847.
